Quality Inspector Wanted

This position reports to the Quality Manager

This position is requires good hand eye coordination, an understanding of tolerance and ability to perform mathematical calculations. This position is important because it is the final phase of ensuring ultimate quality before product is presented to our customer.  

Core Duties:

  • Communicate with machinist as needed with in-process and final inspection.
  • Assist with internal audits
  • Be able to use a variety of inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, vision system, and CMM
  • Perform visual, dimensional and documentation inspections on incoming materials and product
  • Record results of inspections as required
  • Has an understanding of documentation systems as they apply to manufacturing and inspection.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment
  • Demonstrated ability to understand Engineering drawings and specifications
  • Conduct self in accordance with certifications or regulations, such as ISO 9001 and ITAR, that are in place for the company 
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Good organization skills
  • Ability to follow directions and work well under limited supervision.
  • Must work well and have a willingness to cooperate with others
  • Good math skills are necessary
  • Experience is preferred but will train the right candidate

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
  • Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to carry items from one area of the facility to the other
  • Must be able to kneel, stoop, and climb a ladder to reach upper shelves
  • Requires good manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination
