Protofab Racing began in 1989 with father and son team, Duane and John Nelson.
We are very fortunate here at Protofab Racing—we have an excellent race team, superior equipment, and most of all we are surrounded by great people that help us succeed. We do what it takes to be competitive on the track and in our shop.
We currently run a 360 Winged Sprint Car on dirt oval tracks. Tracks range from a quarter to a half of a mile long. The 2009 season was cut short when our driver, John Nelson, broke his back in an accident early in the season. We were lucky to be able to add Brooke Tatnell—The Aussie Outlaw—to our team for a few special shows.
